Round bar
Widely used in the shafts of food processing machines and other industrial machinery.
Round bar is used in the shafts that function as the rotary axes of power transmission gear in food processing machines, which requires corrosion resistance. We are equipped to provide the necessary precision for straightness and dimensional tolerance.

Manufacturing methods

- COIL to BAR
- Coiled steel is passed through drawing machines to form steel bars. This method produces steel bars that can be cut to specific lengths and is ideal for manufacturing thin bars and achieving good yield rates from material input.

- BAR to BAR
- Bar steel is drawn into a wide range of sizes. The sectional area reduction rate is adjusted to control the mechanical properties. This method is used to manufacture bolts, nuts, valves, and more.

- Centerless grinders (CGs)
- Peeled or drawn material is passed through CGs, which grind the surfaces to produce steel with the desired appearance and necessary precision for roundness and dimensional tolerance.
Hexagonal bar, Flat bar, Square bar
Widely used in bolts and valves in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and other industrial machinery.
■ Hexagonal bar
Used in bolts, nuts, and nozzle parts, which must be strong and corrosion-resistant. Characterized by high dimensional precision and aesthetically appealing surfaces. We supply materials for everything from solution treatment to high-strength drawing.

Manufacturing methods

- Skin Pass Bright (SPB) finish
- After cold drawing through a die, light re-drawing improves dimensional precision and straightness.The surface becomes a shiny metallic.

- Acid pickling (SD) finish
- After cold drawing through a die, the surface becomes matte and white after being heat-treated and pickled.
Deformed bar
Supports products with various shapes such as octagonal and oval bars, and various splines. Contributes to reduct customers’ cost by supplying products close to desired final shapes.

■ Stainless steel
We supply any kinds of stainless steel, including austenitic, martensitic, ferritic, and duplex stainless steel. We maintain an overwhelming share of the market for the low-inclusion, high-purity stainless steel needed for the components of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
We finish ultrapure clean stainless steel—a new material—to the shapes, dimensional precision, and mechanical properties by our customers request.
Ultrapure clean stainless steel is a new material developed by Daido Steel, Japan’s leading manufacturer of special steel. As a highly pure form of stainless steel with significantly reduced nonmetallic inclusions and gas components, it is used in the components of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and industrial piping.
Yamashin Steel is well positioned to work with this new material. We use our advanced drawing (second processing) technology to adjust its mechanical properties—namely strength according to the customer’s request. We also provide high dimensional precision by drawing the new material through dies to create products close to the desired final shape. This contributes to customer’s cost reduction.
We have earned trust and a reputation for the quality and adaptability of the fabricated steel we have provided to our customers throughout our history.
